Join Jeremy Baker and Andrew Mendelson as they compare construction delivery methods from the perspectives of the A/E, contractor, and owner. This webinar will examine traditional design-bid-build, construction manager as constructor (CMc), construction manager as advisor (CMa), design-build, and progressive design-build, highlighting the key features, tradeoffs, and contractual risk allocation of each. Participants will gain practical insights to help align delivery method selection with owner priorities, including collaboration, schedule, pricing, design control, flexibility, and risk.
Participants will:
- Review the four major construction delivery methods and why Owners choose one method over another.
- Identify key contracts and risk implications across each delivery method.
- Understand the difference between CMc and CMa roles, including constructor responsibility, subcontract holding, advisory functions, and areas where role overlap can create risk.
- Explore practical selection criteria by matching delivery method trade-offs to owner priorities.
